To use the RDP protocol with Ubuntu use XRDP server:
Install
To install XRDP server on Ubuntu run:
$ sudo apt-get install xrdp
Usage
Use your normal username and password to login. Note if a user does not have remote access add them to the xrdp group in /etc/group
