Make an encoder for speed control. Using one IR sensor and a 3D printed encoder wheel calculate the speed of the output shaft of your motor. The encoder wheel should be attached to the motor shaft (pre gearbox). The IR sensor should be calibrated to measure the on/off state by when the rotor spins. Use a P controller to control the speed. This will be explained in class in detail.

Todo:

  • Show me the motor mount
  • Show me the IR Sensor mount
  • Show me the calculated speed via the serial terminal
