To run Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or 18.04 LTS on a Dell XPS 15 9570 do the following:
- Disable AHCI in BIOS
- Make space available on your HDD (for the DASL SRL make 250GB available)
- Install Ubuntu via a USB Key
- When finished download and the appropriate script below.
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Download this script:
Run the following in a bash terminal within the folder of the above script
$ unzip Ubuntu16.zip $ sudo chmod +x ubuntu16.sh $ sudo ./ubuntu16.sh
Following the on screen directions. Hit "yes" or "1" for everything
When done, reboot
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
Download this script:
Run the following in a bash terminal within the folder of the above script
$ unzip Ubuntu18.zip $ sudo chmod +x ubuntu18.sh $ sudo ./ubuntu18.sh
Following the on screen directions. Hit "yes" or "1" for everything
When done, reboot
